    CNC Machining

    Full-service CNC machining for tight-tolerance metal and plastic parts, serving Syracuse and Upstate NY manufacturers with precision and speed.

    Backwell Manufacturing provides high-precision CNC machining in Syracuse, NY for aerospace, defense, and industrial clients across the U.S. We specialize in complex multi-axis parts, tight tolerances, and fast turnaround. Our team uses Haas, Makino, and Mazak equipment to produce custom components, prototypes, and production runs with full inspection and documentation.

    CNC Turning

    Our CNC turning centers produce high-tolerance shafts, bushings, and threaded components in low- and high-volume runs. We handle materials from brass to hardened steels with bar feed automation for continuous production.
    CNC Milling

    High-accuracy 3 & 4 axis milling for aluminum, steel, and specialty alloys with fast lead times and repeatable quality.

    CNC Milling

    We offer precision CNC milling services for aluminum, steel, stainless, and plastics with tolerances to ±.0005. Our 3 and 4-axis mills handle custom fixtures, tooling, and production parts with consistent accuracy. Backwell’s CNC milling supports industries across Syracuse, Rochester, and Upstate NY.

    CMM Inspection

    We offer full CMM inspection and measurement services for parts and assemblies, using precision coordinate measuring machines to verify tight tolerances, validate dimensions, and ensure every component meets print specifications.
    EDM Machining

    Wire and sinker EDM machining for hardened steels and complex geometries that can’t be achieved with traditional cutting.

    EDM Machining

    We provide wire EDM and sinker EDM services for detailed, high-tolerance parts. EDM allows us to cut hardened tool steel, create sharp internal corners, and achieve extreme precision that conventional machining can’t match.

    Plastic Injection Molds

    We specialize in EDM machining for plastic injection molds, producing precise cavities, cores, and inserts in hardened tool steel with flawless surface finishes and dimensional accuracy that ensure reliable mold performance and long tool life.

    Complete tool and die design, build, and repair for molds, fixtures, and stamping dies other CNC shops rely on.

    Backwell’s tool and die division builds custom dies, molds, and fixtures for other CNC shops and manufacturers. We handle complex toolmaking jobs others can’t, providing the foundation for production, stamping, and molding operations nationwide.

    Fabrication

    We handle light fabrication and finishing work, including cutting, drilling, tapping, assembly, and inspection. Every project is done in-house to maintain quality, control lead time, and deliver complete solutions.
